Sunday 21 to Friday 26 January:
Preliminaries of the Official Competition of Singing Groups in the theater of the Higher School of Dramatic Art. Starting at 8PM, Tickets are online on sale.
Saturday 27 January:
Gastronomic previews and copleras in Palma-Palmilla and Teatinos-Universidad, where a Carnival Paella and Carnival Migas will be prepared, respectively. Starting at 1PM
Sunday 28 January:
Gastronomic previews and copleras in El Perchel and Ciudad Jardín, where the Potaje Perchelero and a Carnival Paella will be prepared, respectively. Starting at 1PM
Sunday 28 January to Wednesday 31 January:
Semi-finals of the Official Competition of Singing Groups at the Cervantes Theatre. The groups are starting at 8PM, tickets are available online
Thursday 1 February:
Grand Gala of the Quarry at the Cervantes Theatre. Tickets are available at the price of four euros.
Friday February 2:
Grand Final of the Official Competition of Singing Groups at the Cervantes Theatre. Tickets are available now.
Saturday 3 February:
The Malaga Carnival kicks off in the street. On that day, the proclamation is scheduled, by the carnival man Máximo Gómez Padilla; and the election of the God Momo and Goddess of Carnival.
Sunday 4 February:
Carnival in the street. In the morning, the Carnival Collard Beans will be held in Cruz de Humilladero from 1 PM In the afternoon, the Grand Parade is scheduled through the streets of the Centre.
Children’s carnival – a great things to do for kids in Malaga. Children’s parade from noon onwards. Children’s fun and games from noon-2pm and 5-7pm on Plaza de la Constitución.
Friday 9 February:
The party resumes in the Malaga Center with different activities and performances, including the Great Gala of Drag Queens in the Plaza de la Constitución.
Saturday 10 February:
The last holiday Saturday will be the big costume day. In the morning, the Fideos a la Parte will be held in El Palo from 1 PM. There will also be activities throughout the day at the Malaga Center.
Battle of the Flowers – a brightly coloured parade throws confetti and streamers into the crowd before the final shower of thousands of petals. From 6pm in Calle Larios.
Gods’ and Goddess’ Carnival Parade – from Plaza de la Constitución, along Calle Especería, Calle Nueva, Calle Puerta del Mar, Calle Martínez, up Calle Marqués de Larios back to Plaza de la Constitución. From noon.
Kids’ Fancy Dress Competition – from noon on Plaza de la Constitución.
Sunday 11 February:
Last day of Malaga Carnival. There will be a large anchovy in the Plaza de la Constitución and the Burial of the Anchovy will be celebrated.
